A confidential and safe space for Punjabi and South Asian men and women. An inclusive safe space, where we aim to provide you with tips and tools to manage your Sehhat.

Research Findings Launch - Impacts of Suicide in Punjabi Communities

Join us as we share the findings of our research on the Impacts of Suicide in Punjabi communities. There are limited studies which represents the punjabi communities especially with regards to the Suicide and Mental Health. We aim for this to be the the drop in the ocean to create a rippling in change.

Men's Grief Group

10 Week in person Men’s Grief Group

Date: 10th April – 12 June 2024

Time: 18:00pm – 20:00pm

Location:  Brasshouse community centre Smethwick, Birminham 

The group is a male only space for Punjabi and South Asian males, This is for a period of 10 weeks, facilitated by qualified professional Daniel Bains. Daniel a qualified counsellor regisatered with the BACP. My professional experience includes a decade working as a mental health support worker, welfare rights adviser and counsellor. Supporting people with their wellbeing, finding solutions and rebuilding their lives step by step.

You will gain the following education and support;

  • Cycles and stages of grief  
  • How to manage life with loss
  • Tools and techniques
  • Supports and services
  • Two hours a week
  • At £15 a session
  • Including workbook
  • Refreshments

Virtual Menopause specific workshop.

6 Week Menopause Program

Starting 6th June – 11th July 2024

From 19:30pm – 21:30pm

Educating and encouraging conversations on how to support yourself and loved ones on their menopause journey. Specifically for Punjabi and South Asian Women.

The program will be over a period of 6 weeks, facilitated by qualified menopause expert Veerpal Sandhu. Veerpal Sandhu is a dedicated healthcare professional with over 12 years of experience in both community and clinical roles. She currently serves as an NHS Advanced Clinical Pharmacist specialising in Mental Health and Women’s Health

 You will gain the following education and support;

  • Signs and symptoms of menopause
  • Mental and Emotional health
  • How to track your symptoms
  • The Importance of Menopause in the Punjabi and South Asian communities
  • The impacts of Menopause on a family and relationships
  • Long term management
  • Two hours a week 
  • At £15 a session 
  • Including a digital workbook 

This course can also be provided in Punjabi if needed.You will be emailed the program details and access links nearer the time, with a list of requirements when attending the program.
